Epiphany - GNOME Web Browser
Epiphany, http://www.gnome.org/projects/epiphany/, is the default web browser for GNOME and Foresight Linux. Powered by the Gecko engine, developed by the Mozilla Foundation, Epiphany features tabbed browsing, smart bookmarks, customizable interface, and extensions and plugins.
To start Epiphany, choose Applications, Internet, and click the Ephiphany Web Browser. Epiphany will start with Google as the default page.
Tabbed Browsing
To open a new tab, hit ctrl-t or click File and New Tab. You can drag and drop tabs in the tab bar to change the order of the tabs currently open. To close a tab click the "x" on the right hand side of the tab. Choose "Tabs" in the menu to quickly change which tab is the focus at any time.
Smart Bookmarks
Smart bookmarks enable you to bookmark a web site like you would in other browsers, but also enable you to quickly search both your bookmarks and the web. By using Smart bookmarks, web searches and queries can be performed without loading a query page first.
To create a new Smart bookmark, hit ctrl-D or from the Bookmarks menu, click Add Bookmark. Edit the title of the bookmark if you choose, and then choose a topic to group your bookmark in, to make it faster to search for later.
To edit or remove bookmarks, hit ctrl-b or choose Edit Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu.
Default extensions
Extensions add additional functionality created by the community to add features. To enable extensions, from the menu choose Tools, and then Extensions. Click the check box to enable the extension. A few examples of extensions you can enable include Greasemonkey, Ad blocker, and News Feed Subscription. To learn more about the extensions available in Epiphany, visit the extensions page at http://www.gnome.org/projects/epiphany/extensions.

I have installed Foresight 2, but Epiphany is not the default browser at all. In fact it's not even installed. Firefox is the default now. Why?
