This page contains some hints for thinkpad users

TPB - Enable Thinkpad buttons

You may want to get some display to work. Please install TPB.(see also ThinkWiki-Entry: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Tpb

sudo conary update tpb

... which will also install xosd (X11 Onscreen Display).
After that you should add tpb to the start applications (System->Settings-Sessions) and relogin. Then tpb should be enabled. Test with pressing volume control buttons or something like that. You can configure via configurations files.

Bugs

We now have this known issue:

Unable to open device /dev/misc/nvram: No such file or directory

I remember we had fixed that - its just that nvram needs to be created as a device automatically in Foresight. Try rebooting after installation.
